Let’s mess with time, throw logic out the window, and apply some exquisite pressure.
We'll explore what happens when Objects give us the exact nuisance we need to make new stories.
Join us to create some divine friction. Together.
What to Bring:
• Comfy clothes you can move in
• An open mind and a sense of adventure
What is an Instant Playlab?
Our Instant PlayLabs bring together the artistic community in a free, fast, and fun night of making new theater. Open to everyone, Hook & Eye's PlayLabs are a low-pressure, high energy evening in which we create new short works in an open, community-workshop setting.
We start with a theme and invite all present to iterate on that theme. After a group warm-up, we split into smaller groups, take an hour or so to weave our ideas into a piece, and regroup.
The evening ends with a show and quick discussion of what has unfolded with wine and snacks.
The resulting work is always relevant, immediate, and ephemeral.
